Registry problem

  TDbear 12:27 17 Oct 03

i run Win 98, MS office2000,Norton Systemworks 2002 problem is i have an entry in my registry "Ensoniq mixer" "starter.exe".
Can't find Ensoniq anywhere, but it is identified as a problem using Norton Windoctor, when deleted it keeps coming back in the registry!
I've unticked the box in startup and manually deleted it in the registry no success.
Run anti-virus(up to date) nothing found.
I believe this is causing other problems eg "Win Explorer illegal operation, will be shut down" reason invalid page error.

This is really bugging me now
I would really appreciate any help
Thanks TD bear

You dont need ensonic mixer or starter.exe to be running they are for sound card usually a sound blaster card but you dont need them for your card to work.Type msconfig in the start/run box goto startup tab and untick them resart see that helps.
