Registry path to remove long gone software...

  dogtrack 23:14 25 Dec 04

Used to have it written down somewhere. As you might have guessed I have lost it. So, does anyone know the Registry Path, to remove software, that has long ago been uninstalled. But left behind its name in the Add/Remove section of Control Panel...thanks.

Hi, other than Registry, have you tried Start>Programs>Accessories>SystemTools>DiskCleanup......might get rid of it. Merry Christmas.

or - if you have TweakUI you should be able to remove it from the Add/Remove list.

This article explains how to manually remove an item from the Currently installed programs list in the Add or Remove Programs tool if the item is still displayed after you initially try to remove it.

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type regedt32, and then click OK.
3. In Registry Editor, locate the following registry key:
4. In the left pane, click the Uninstall registry key, and then click Export on the File menu.
Hope that helps...Regards

CCleaner is a very good product, but make sure that you have any passwords noted for perhaps future re-installation. CC can clear these out on occasions, the same applies to any regular website cookies.
