Registry not loading

When I entered my password to enter my account last night, I got a message from user enviroment saying that windows cannot load the registry and cannot find my profile, it may have been corrupted, so I done a system restore and all seems to be well now, but I was wonderning why windows could not load the registry, this is the very first time it has happened, so should I be worried? I am running Win XP Home SP1, Regards, Rhuddlan.
