I have a been getting pop-up windows saying there is a fatal error with my registry from several different web sites advising me to down load there program to repair the fault. See list below.
Registry Sweeper at click here
Win-Clean.com
Msregclean.com
regfixup.com
fix-scan.com
regfixer.net
updateptch.info
Fixthereg.comcleanthispc.com
I used The Ashampoo Winoptimizer Program provided with Novembers issue also PC Tools Registry Mechanic 3.0 supplied in Octobers magazine to check and clean the registry. Both programs say registy is now okay and everything is fine until I use a dial-up connection. Then the messages come back this does not happen when I use broadband through my router.I have been ignoring the messages and the PC has not crashed yet how can I get rid of the messages if they are spam or spyware. Have tried Spybot search and destroy also have Norton Internet security 2005 installed. Has anybody else have this problem.

Are these Messenger Service pop-ups like click here

  Rustyremi 18:24 04 Oct 05

No the messages come from various websites, when I download and check the registry using these progammes they then tell me I need to spend approximatelly 20 -40 pounds to down-load a full version to repair the resistry.
