Registry Editor

I have downloaded a thing to put into my registry, but when I click to put it in a window comes up with 'registry editing has been disabled by your administrator' what does this mean?

How can I rectify this?

Thanks for the advice...

i take it you are running xp? if so it appears you do not have administrator rights on the pc you need to re set profile if you are the only user.

Slightly easier version than Powerless. Click on click here, then go to Security, and download Disable/Enable Registry Editing Tools. This
small VB Script will remove this restriction. If the first time the script
is run it says "Disabled", run it again.
