I just ran spybot and it found HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\AntiVirusOverride!=dword:0 but spybot cant delete it. Does this mean my AV has been hacked? Greatly appreciate info.

It means the XP `antivirus not installed` warning in Service Center has been disabled; normal if you have antivirus software not `officially` recognised by Security Centre.

sorry, I meant `Security Centre` both times

This is the normal setting for the Security Centre with Anti virus monitoring switched on. click here

Sorry, my mistake.

On the other hand click here
My AV monitoring is on (AVG) and that value is 1.
When you click `I have AV software that I will monitor myself` the value changes to 0.
