Registering Windows With A Broadband Connection?!?

i have got a windows xp home edition computer, when i try to register windows i fill in all of the forms and then when i get to the part for my details to be sent the dialing properties window opens and i have looked throught all of the settings and i cannot find anything to help me and then when i press send it says no dial tone can be found? i am using NTL broadband connected through ethernet connection could somneone help me please.

Start - Control panel - Internet options - Connections. Make sure 'Never dial a connection' is checked.

Are you sending this during the windows setup or after windows and your ISP software has been installed?,if it is during setup you can cancel and do it after windows is up and all your software is installed,then you can connect to the net before you click the register button.

Don't forget that there is no obligation to register your copy of Windows XP. Activation is the only requirement for you to continue to use it.
