Refreshing Folders In XP

  dogbreath1 08:25 11 May 07

I store a lot of photos on my PC and add to these on a daily basis. Groups of similar photos are placed in their own folders.

On trying to refresh a page, the folders will not sort when displayed as thumb nails and I have to change the view to list or details, then refresh the page and then reset the view to thumb nail.

Why is this and is there any way round it?

It's only a minor inconvenience but a solution or work round would be appreciated.

Maybe resetting your monitor's refresh rate will help.

When I referred to refresh, I meant the refresh button which sorts folders into alphabetical order.

When I try to organise (sort alphabetically) folders displayed as thumbs, they don't budge. Only when the folders are displayed in 'list' or 'details' view, will they sort.

Maybe you need to increase the number of folders Windows will `remember` settings for - click here

Just a guess...
