Reformatting hard disc

  max10 21:24 22 Apr 05

I have been trying to wipe my hard disk and reinstall everything. I have created a start up disc and checked I can use my cd drive, however
when I go to format using FORMAT C: /S, i get the message that windows no longer uses /S. How can I clear my hard drive of everything and then reinstall. I am using windows ME.

Just use FORMAT C:

Works with my old Packard Bell Imedia.

ME will not accept the /s in format c:/s. It will also not accept the sys c: to transfer the system.

Just a plain format c: as Jak_1 as said should do the trick. click here
