Can anyone tell me if I can delete a redundant windows system folder.
I created a new folder but did not use it.Somehow it became a system folder but has no content. I have renamed it "spare" so I know what it is but cannot delete it as I get a message saying can`t delete as it is a windows folder. It` now sitting on my desktop but is empty.

Right click on it and see what its properties are - there might be something that you can untick to allow it to be deleted.

Failing that, click here and look under file utilities for a file that will allow you to delete it on reboot.
