Hi all,

when I try to drag a desktop icon into my Recycle bin, the bin moves and its place on the desktop is replaced by the icon I was trying to put in it.

I can right click the icon to be deleted and select delete from the list, this puts the icon into the Recycle bin, which I can then delete.

any idea why when I try to drag icon into Recycle bin, the icon doesnt go in it just moves the recycle bin to another place on the desktop?

sometimes the problem is that you dont put the dragged item exactly over the recycle bin. I have done it myself.
