Recycle Bin

Firstly sorry I have previously accidentally posted this under somebody else's thread.(qwesaws)

Recycle Bin

I deleted a lot of large tiff files from my system and then went to the Recycle bin to empty it.

But it was already empty?

Would anybody know what would have happened to the files I did a search for some of them but it didn't turn up anything.

Usually when you try to delete a very large file, you get a warning that it is too big and asks "Delete anyway?". If you need them back try downloadin Recuver (Not sure of spelling) -a free programme that may help, but the less you use the PC the better until you try it as "Random Access" means that the HD overwrites such files in time.

Good luck with Recuva though you mention CCleaner?

If you have used that recently you may have CCleaner set to clear the Recycle bin automatically.
