Recovey CD

Just bought a new Cybermaxx laptop.
Messed up a few installations,so I am doing a recovery.
The instructions in the manual says to use the Applications and Support CD.

So when or what to do with the XP recovery CD Rom?

1.Ensure laptop set to boot from CD drive

Some sort of message usually appears as youfirst switch on to tell you how to change the boot order.

2. Switch on laptop with CD in drive, follow onscreen prompts.

Ye but manualdoesnotmention useof the Xp recovery CD Rom,so was wondering what it can be used for?

The “Medion Product Recovery” CD-ROM is a Windows XP CD for restoring Windows XP itself.
This disc does not restore the original factory setup of the PC as does the Application and Support CD. You can use it when an individual set up is required or if you no longer need all the bundled software.

If it's a Medion, you could not get a easier recovery setup. put the medion XP disc away you do not need it. and start with the Medion Product Recovery. It gives three options

1/replace System File ONLY and try to reboot and see if it's OK

2/ Relace System Files and Drivers Retest to see if it works

3/ Full system recovery as when you bought the comp

PS it will ask which you want to boot when you start with Disc in Rom drive choose CD drive
