Recovery partition size.

I'm running Windows XP home on a relatively new Hewlett-Packard PC. Unfortunately this did not come with a backup disk but has a recovery partition on drive D of approximately 4.6 GB.

My C. drive is quite massive at over 160 GB and I'm only using a small percentage of this, but I keep getting warnings to tell me that my recovery drive is nearly full. Only about 5 MB left !

Browsing the D drive doesn't even let me into any of the folders as they appear to be system backup or recovery files which are locked. There is nothing there that I can delete to create more room, so my question is how do I increase the drive size?

This thread is now locked and can not be replied to.
