I have lost an important document I was creating in Word. It is clearly on my PC with a file reference ending in ~WRL2512.tmp.
How do I recover this docuent , preferably in Word
Many thanks

A .tmp file of that sort is created as you work on and save a Word document and usually remains visible whilst the original .doc file is open.

If you delete the original document (accidentally or otherwise) the .tmp file will also be deleted.

Are you sure that the original document isn't open and running in the 'background' somewhere?
