Recovering a Floppy disc folder

  roygbiv 14:25 04 Jul 05

HELP!!! My school friend has asked me to see if i can get his work back for him. Now I 'm not sure I can.

There is 9 folders on the disc. 8 of these are fine.

One folder (that has alot of college work, and has been used for the last year) has now become EMPTY.

There is a chance that a folder was open and the disc was removed.

Is the work gone for good? or can it be retrieved with a (free)program or such? TIA

At least school work will not hit him in the pocket. But if he thinks back, there may be an "almost up to date" copy sitting somewhere at home.

The old adage was 3 copies of everything. Just in case of such problems.

A single copy is definitely leaving one very exposed.

Try this free program click here
I have used it several times succesfully to recover files from a corrupt floppy disc.

Will try that today Tuesday, what ever has happened to the folder, now, when you try to open it, it deletes EXEL from the PC, had to reinstall it !!
