Is it legal to record online radio ? Is it not the same as recording on to tape using a tape recorder?

If it can be done is there any software which will allow me to do it?

It is illegal to record on to tape from the radio, though its a law thats unenforceable so I'd imagine doing it online would be the same.

This says that at least for the BBC, it's permissable to do so for personal use.

I also always understood that tape recording for the purposes of *time-shifting* is specifically allowed under UK law.
