I have an IBM ThinkPad type 2645 with an 8 gb hard drive, which is configured c drive = 1 gb & d drive = 7 gb. Is it possible to reconfigure as a single 8 gb drive without loosing all my info. & programs or how to change/make the d become the c drive and vice versa as I keep running out of space on the c drive.

So as not to lose your data, you will need to use third party software to do want you want to do. PowerQuest's Partition Magic will do it for you.
