Recommended Processor Upgrade?

  SirMetal 16:18 02 Sep 08

Hey all, i have windows vista home basic (i want to upgrade to home premium)

my computer specs are:

Intel Celeron D 360 - 3.46Ghz

2x DDR2 512Mb (1Gb) - 533Mhz (Going to upgrade to 2x 1Gb)

ATI Radeon Sapphire HD 3450 Graphics - 512Mb

160Gb HDD

19" Samsung SyncMaster - 1280x1024

I know my main problem is going to be the processor if i'm going to upgrade, so i'm just wondering does anyone out there know what upgrade can fit my motherboard?

My motherboard model is:

Foxconn N15235

Can anybody please help me?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know if this helps but here is my Windows Experience Index Score:

Processor: 4.1
Memory(RAM): 4.5
Graphics: >4.0<
Gaming Graphics: 4.1
Primary Hard Disk: 5.4

4.0 Out Of 5.9

i use core 2 duo E7300, 2.66ghz and just got 4.7 in WEI. whereas my laptop using dual core T3400 scored 5.1.can anyone describe what happen here, is the problem came from processor or mobo?

I agree with Citadel - More RAM is essential - a better processor may not make that much difference.

To say a 3.4GHz processor and 2GB RAM can't do multi-tasking is ludicrous.

the others. Upgrade your ram first.

If you want to upgrade the cpu in future, these cpu's will fit. click here
