Recommendations for a new MOBO?

  johnny alpha 21:44 09 Feb 03

I am having to replace my MOBO as the my PCchips M810 is goosed. I have looked around but there are so many to choose from I don't know where to start. I am hopeing to get an Athlon XP 1800 or so for it.

Any recommendations would help me from just taking pot luck.

Also do they all have a standard PSU connection or will I need a new PSU as well.

I have a K7S6A and ive found this to be a very good stable board and value for money although ive had it for almost a year and paid nearly £50 at the time you can now get it for just under £40.

Sell your memory & buy some DDR you can get 128mb pc2100 for £18 or 256mb £38

recently built a system using the jetway v333u. takes pc1600,pc2100 & pc2700 memory, takes latest athlon processors, features USB2 . costs about £60 but a great board for the price.
