Recent docs in XP

Can anybody remind me of the name of the utility that shows a full list of Recent doc. - and does it work in XP?? - I've just upgraded and am unable to find any recent facility in my Home edition.

To show your most recently used documents on the Start menu
Right-click the Start button, and then click Properties.
On the Start Menu tab, click Start menu, and then click Customize.
On the Advanced tab, select the List my most recently opened documents check box.
The next time you click Start, the My Recent Documents folder is on the Start menu. This folder contains the documents and files you opened recently.

On the Advanced tab, click Clear List to empty the My Recent Documents folder. This does not delete the documents from the computer.

Thank you for taking the trouble to reply. The Recent Docs is now fine - I didn't realise I could click the |Start button.

Compression is greyed out in the back menu - I want to back up to a ZIP drive and presumably compression only works with tapes??

It would seem so, I don't use it so wait and see if someone who does knows more about it.

you could compress the files in a folder by right clicking and selecting "send to/compressed (zipped) folder, then simply drag across to your zip drive (or use whatever backup prog you want.

not exactly the answer you want but maybe a work-around for the time being.

hope this helps
