Rebuild PC with new SATA drive..??

I have ASUS A7N8X mobo and Hitachi 320GB SATA hard disk.

Mobo supports SATA (junper set to enable, and can get into RAID setup - don't want RAID), but W2K installation fails to detect a hard disk for the O/S to go on.

I've read I need to install SATA drivers, but how do I do this on a new install from the CD ?

You need to load the SATA (raid) drivers (on the motherboard CD) at the F6 prompt when initialy running the windows setup program.

XP asks for them on a floppy disk, if you don't not have a floppy drive then you can make a sliptreamed version of an XP CD instructions @ click here
