RealPlayer problems

  johnpalmer 10:30 04 Sep 07

When I play RealPlayer, since updating via the obligatory Google Updater, the films do not play just flick from frame to frame like a stills slide show.

I thought I could uninstall it and then reinstall to solve the problem, but when I access the Add/Remove page in Control Panel to uninstall, I get the message "An error occurred while trying to remove RealPlayer. It may have already been uninstalled. Would you like to remove RealPlayer from the Add or Remove programs list".

The fact is RealPlayer is still there, but does not play correctly.

Can anybody help me on this please ?

it may have an option to repair the one already on your pc
or overwrite it at least

The problem I have found is that I can't find any free RealPlayer software without having to use the bloody Google Updater.

When I did try to re-install RealPlayer, Google Updater just said already installed.

The option to uninstall RealPlayer on the Google Updater doesn't respond either.

Any further ideas ?
