Hi All, Just downloaded RealOne Player from the BBC languages website. For some reason RealOPenPlayer seems to think I'm not connected to the net.

When i click on a speaker icon I bet the ROP box saying 'connecting' then a box saying a 'general Error has Occured'If I click on 'more info' I get a message saying unable to connect to technical help site.

In ROP's tools>options I've put a tick in the 'assume your connected' box and rebboted my pc.

I'm using win98se...speakers work fine.

So, why does RealOne Player think I'm not connected to the net when I am...I can open other websites at the same time...including PCA?

Any ideas greatly appreciated...Many Thanks,

Here's a really odd thing...on the BBC languages website click here

RealOnePlayer will play the German language page but not the French or Spanish. Any ideas?

it was still the firewall...once set to 'rule' mode and a rule made it works ok.

It pays to persevere.
