Real 1 Takeover

  xoc 13:45 23 Mar 03

Recently installed Real 1 and it has taken over a lot of my media functions including CD-Player.
If I insert a music cd, Real 1 launches and plays the cd, which is ok, I can live with that, but if I insert a cd-rom, I get audio only but no picture.
I don't want to uninstall Real 1, but do want to retain control of what does what on my computer.
Any ideas on how to regain control ?

Open Real Player and click on Tools - Preferences. Select Media Types in the left window and then in the right window you can select the file types you want associated with Real Player.

I feel that Real One is one of the most intrusive peice of software available & for that reason I still use Real Player 8. click here However if you look at the options in Real One you can disentange it from your PC, it just takes a while to go through them all.
