Reading email attachments

I am using Outlook Express 6 on Windows ME, and I have never been able to read attachments. I have only received 3, and the first 2 were of no importance so I deleted them, but I now have one that is of great importance to me, which I need to read and print, but when I click on the paperclip I get a greyed out dropdown menu with an E icon followed by Property.HTML (2.08KB)
and Save Attachments, But clicking on either does nothing.
I have my Norton A/V & the Internet Security Firewall on the lowest setting, and the Mail Sending Format selected for HTML.
Will somebody please tell me what I must do to read this attachment?

In OE, Tools/Options, Security tab and take the tick out of the box to do with blocking access to attachments.
