Reading Access addresses by Word

  Knack 12:02 11 Oct 05

Is it possible to get Word 2000 to read names and addresses from Access and then to use them with the envelope printing facility? If so How do I do it?

You can do it from Access but as an alternative how about exporting the data to an Excel file and then using the Word Mail Merge facility to produce the envelopes.

in word you can use access as a datasource for mail merge and label printing

Access genu is right. In Word go to Tools>Mail Merge (or maybe MailMerge Wizard in Word 2000) when you get to the step select the Access Database as your Data Source and then I think you select the relevant table where the addresses are.

So how did you do it? Just nice to know that`s all.
