How does one turn off the 'read only' attribute on files on a cd?
I am trying to save files back onto the cd after I have amended them and get the message that I can't copy onto the cd because the files are read only. My attempts to turn off the read only attributes are not accepted by the computor.
I get messages that I do not have permission!! What a cheek!!! Who's computer is it I ask?
I found a small program on the web which purports to switch-off read onlys but when I run it I get the same wretched message!!!!
Can anybody help please?

When burning to CD the files are automatically set to read only - I think this is the case with all burner programs. When you copy them back you will need to reset the attribute of the file copied to your hard drive. As far as I am aware there is no way to alter the attribute of the file burned to the CD
