re: lettering in emails

I run Windows XP Home and have noticed that when I type emails or, as now, on to a screen window, certain letters seem fainter than others and in fact the overall feeling is that there's a general faintness of lettering. I can't decide if this is my screen or my keyboard, or simply something I've never noticed before. There doesn't appear to be anything different on web sites generally, only when I type documents. I'd be grateful for any indication of where the problem might lie.

Look to see if you have "clear Type enabled.

Right click on Desktop - Properties - Appearance - Effects

So Astrid did you manage to "solve" your problem?
