Hi. Been given a PC with Win 98. It's got an Ultra160 LVD SSCI hard drive. I want to wipe it and replace with Win 2000. Firstly, can I use the 2000 disk to initiate the fdisk/format etc? Also,I don't know about the SSCI controller card. Once I install win2000 will it automatically recog the SSCI card? Other devises such as graphics card I'm OK on.Be very grateful for help.

Fdisk and Format as normal. The controller card should be recognised and installed by Windows. To be on the safe side, identify the card and download any available drivers.
