re-format HD but from 98 to 2000

i need to reformat my hard drive, but i also want to replace win 98se with win2000. BUT i have no boot disk for win 2000.
Can i use the 98 start up floppy but with the 2000 cd?

No ...either Boot with the 2000 cd this option you set in the BIOS...

To create a set of Setup boot disks for Windows 2000, run the Makeboot.exe tool from the Bootdisk folder on the Windows 2000 CD-ROM:

Insert the Windows 2000 CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive.

Click Start, and then click Run.

In the Open box, type drive:\bootdisk\makeboot a:, where drive is the letter of your CD-ROM drive, and then press ENTER.

You will be given the option to format the drive as you install Win 2000
