You say you have no screen.

Is this for windows or even the computers first bootup screen ( post ).

If you get the writing e.g. memory, master drives etc. Then keep pressing the F8 key and go to safe mode. You should then be able to re-enable the device.

Hope that works, have been following another forum thread with same error and his outcome was to format and re-install, it seems it'd one of those irreversable issues, hope i'm wrong..

Tried removing and replacing, didn`t work.
Boot screen ok going into safe mode just get stuck on system pages.

Just a bit more information to try to help you.

Your VGA device, is it

a)on-board graphics

or have you a

b)graphics card.

If you have a graphics card, does the motherboard have a seperate VGA connecter?

" Boot screen ok going into safe mode just get stuck on system pages. "

It may take a few minutes, persevere.

If no luck, go back to F8 and pick last good now configuration. See if that works.

It`s a AGP graphics card, no vga on mobo.
I might just have to do a re format and instal. I won`t do that again.

try removing the motherboard cmos battery for a couple of mins, or clear the cmos by swithching jumpers on the mobo (see the manual) Might make it start up with the failsafe bios settings

Thanks for all replies, nothing worked, nor even windows repair.
Did a clean install and format, now working fine.
Must remember not to disable things if there are no alternative devices especially vga drivers.
