Rapport Ceberus (?)

Avast has flagged a possible infection of ‘Rapport Ceberus’ (?) a Trojan I believe. Malwarebytes doesn't pick it up. Computer is intermittently running very slowly. Any suggestions? Is there another free anti malware program I should try? Thanks, Mavro

Trusteer Rapport with Cerberus does conflict with Avast, just Google it to find out. But it appears not to be a trojan, it is part of your online banking security.

Thank you...that makes sense, I do have banking security software installed. The computer is, however still running very slowly so there must be another reason I guess.

It's probably rapport itself slowing down your computer. Just do a search of rapport on these forums, you'll find a lot of people have reported that it slows down their computers.

If your PC security is good anyway, you can try uninstalling rapport and see if your computer runs better. You can always reinstall it later if you wish.

Thanks I will try that

But do be aware that if you uninstall bank recommended security software they may try to wriggle out if your a/c gets hacked!
