random laptop shutdowns???

I have a Samung VM7000 Laptop running a celeron 650. I was running Windows ME but due to a large number of Blue Screens of Death, and random shutdowns. I thought it could have been Windows ME so I Fdisked and installed W98SE. All went well, but I had another random shutdown tonight.

Do to being slightly addicted to the internet, I think I am usually on the internet when it happens. I have thought about it maybe being the phone line polarity? I changed the RAM but still had problems. The only other thing left after that would be my HDD.

The system is still under warranty but the shutdowns are so random I would put money on it running for a week with no problems.

Any ideas, please?

If it happened with ME and then FDISK 'D with 98 and its still happening, i would say its a hardware fault.

Check in device manager see if there are and yellow exclamation marks...

What software have you on your computer? It could be well the software.

The latest Internet Explorer
Zone Alarm
Acrobat Reader

I only fdisk'd and installed W98SE this evening so I only put on the basics.
