RAM upgrade query

Looking at a RAM upgrade from 256 to 512MB. Not sure what type the current RAM is but MOBO is FIC VC37 and according to specs from their website, it will accept DDR PC1600 or PC2100.

But having used the Crucial Memory Advisor, it's telling me that DDR PC3200 is compatible with the MOBO. Crucial guarantee compatibility so I have 2 questions :

1. Should I go with the Crucial recommendation and ignore the fact that PC3200 isn't listed as compatibile on the manufacturer's site?

2. If the answer to the above is yes, am I likely to notice a big difference if I replace the current RAM with 512MB of PC3200 rather than just add another 256MB of what's already there (PC2100 I assume).

I'm not worried about cost as such, just want the best performance.

Any comments welcomed!

If you add another 256MB you will have 512MB

Looking at the above link, I would go for the most popular one which is 256mb.

I draw your attention to this click here if/when you order, make sure it complies with this so you dont order too many or too little memory.

Thanks all, I'll put in another 256MB and see how that goes.
