ram speed

I have a new pc with an msi neo2 v motherboard. The ram is 512 of pc3200 in one slot. In the bios the speed is shown as 333. I thought it should be 400. I have a 3g p4 installed.

I think that if your processor only runs on a 333 mhz FSB speed then the RAM will automatically run at the same speed so as not to be out of sync.

Sorry just read your post properly. I thought you had an AMD Athlon XP 3000+ not a 3 Ghz Pentium 4! Doh.
