i have 2 x 128 mb and 1x 32mb which = 288 but i only get 224 can anyone help
you sure you have 2x128? since it looks like you have 1x128,1x64,1x32 maybe one of your RAM modules are faulty. someone else here will probably have a simple answer for you though
Ravin is right, it looks like you could possibly have 128 x 64 x 32
maybe the ram is being used for video memory. does your system have a graphics card or onboard video memory ?
click here for english113 earlier post about his / her system. click hereIt has on board graphics.
ive had them both checked there both 128 bloked said something to do with single sidded chips
What mboard do you have?On the Aopen AX4PE Max it says in the book.Only one side of double sided DIMMS will be read if placed in slot two and three. However it will read double sided DIMMS if only slots one and two are used. This could be your problem. To get 512Mbt RAM I use two double side DIMMS in slot one and two. Then cannot use slot three. It also says that damage could be caused to socket or module if double sided used in two and three. But suspect this is just physical size problems.Regards Brian j
