My new corsair 2x2gb ddr3 RAM is rated up to 1600mhz although it is showing in BIOS as running at 10666mhz. Does anyone know a stepe by step way I can run my RAM at its full potential.

I am a super noob when it comes to BIOS settings etc.

Thanks for your help!!!

The BIOS options for the RAM settings should be in the manual. What motherboard is it?

Motherboard is MSI790FX GD70, just dont want to mess with the setting without being sure as I have never overclocked anyhting before. Just std cooler by the way.

I've just had a quick look at the manual and it looks as though the place to start is adjusting the FSB/DRAM Ratio in the Cell Menu.

If you look for reviews they may also give you an idea e.g. click here Also google MSI 790FX GD70 overclock and wade checkput some of the items there.

This forum should be able to help with just about anything for that motherboard click here There is a lot of dross to wade through though.
