RAM Question

I am looking to upgrade my RAM on a very modest spec HP Vista Home Premium 32bit PC I have. There are two lots of 1GB DDR2 6400u 666-12 RAM in two of the four slots. Is the 666-12 just a stock code for that manufacturer (a Korean manufacturer) or does it refer in some way to the latency timing i.e. CL6??? And should all the RAM you fit have the same latency timing?

Thanks.

Use the scanner at Crucial click here . It will scan your PC recognise the existing RAM and show compatible RAM. Crucial, by the way are probably the best supplier of RAM.

Crucial! Thanks Kestrel. I was trying to remember the name of a supplier from a while back and that was it! The PC in question isn't yet linked up to the Net but I'll do so via an ethernet port on the modem and take your advice. Maybe latency timing is not such a big deal?

Thanks Terminus90 always good to shop around. Although Crucial seems to have the best prices.
