RAM Problem - Advice most welcome

I have a TIME Colussus Pentium one with 200MHTZ clock speed. Model 362-50/24; batch no: 33616/2; serial no: 201829; The machine has two memory slots. I wish to run two 256MB DP100--64321E PC100 - 1222-6012 memory boards increasing the memory to 512MB. I have two boards, both work individually, using both boards together the machine fails to boot running its memory check. The cursor moves across the screen and eventually disappears with no further sign of life. Individually both boards function but only in one slot. Testing the second slot with the known working slot this slot appears to not function at all. Any ideas as to what the issues are, I was told it was possible to run the PC at 512MB RAM.

What OS are you using? Too much RAM is not good for Win 95/98/ME

Is the model number 362-50-124? If this is your PC, it can only take 384MB of RAM. click here
