RAM problem

  SPQR 10:58 20 Mar 05

i have just put xp pro onto an old pc which had 192mn RAM, so now it isnt very smooth to run.
I wanted to upgrade the RAM with another 256mb. the motherboard manual (msi 6334) says that it can support up to 512mb. There are 3 ram slots, and the manual says each can take up to 128mb. Will it take a 256mb module or not?

I would start by downloading & running belarc advisor, click here to find out exactly which Mobo you have.

Once you know it's full model number, click here & search for it here, to download the manual. Then you should be able to find out what memory configurations it supports.

You mentioned the Mobo type & number in you post.
And looking on the link I gave you it says it will take 256mb as they are on the list.
