RAM Memory probs

  kane_2001 12:06 23 Feb 03

I want to update my memory as I only have 256 and would like to get at least 512. The problem is I cannot find out what type of RAM I have ( ddr/sdr ) etc. I dont really wnt to open my machine and I cannot find it in my PC booklets that came with the machine. Is there anything I can go into on the progs etc, that will let me know what it is? I have tried Dxdiag but it just says 256Mb ram

Thanks in advance

MOther BOard or mobo, if belarc can't identify the memory try Aida32 click here on my PC it gives chapter and verse on installed RAM, even identifies the brand used.

If it is a named pc system ie HP Compaq etc go to Crucial site and put computer model into memory configurator and it will tell you the memory you need, also it is guaranteed to work
