Hello, i currently have my own little private business, repairing PCs etc. I had a customer bring a laptop to me (HP ) the screen would not come on. I turned on the PC it boots but the hdd light does not flash. I checked the hdd, tried connecting the pc to an external monitor. But nothing. I bought some RAM of the internet put it in the PC it booted and everything seemed fine until i rebooted the PC and the same problem occur the screen somed no activity and the hdd light stopped flash. Any ideas? Everytime i put in new RAM it seem to kill it off!

Check BIOS and make sure memory settings are correct latency voltage etc.

Have you tried the RAM again in something else?

Have you checked the RAM's Specification against the Mother Board's manual?

Where the RAM is inserted there was a HP sticker, saying which RAM to replace it with and the URL. So it was the exact RAM that came with the PC its self. Any other ideas im really stumped :P. Thanks.
