I have downloaded some files, from a music site, which end in the name '.ram'. Can someone please let me know how to open/play these? 'Windows Media player' doesnt seem to handle them.

Real Audio - not sure what plays them

Real Audio Player will handle them.

Real one player - click here - get the basic version, or an older version (eg version 7) from click here (the older versions are slightly less intrusive).

You could try a general player like WinAmp if you want. (I'd personally steer clear due to a bad experiance of WinAmp associating all my files with itself when I fisrst got my PC)

Ironman556 - I don't think that WinAmp will play RAM files - at least not without a plugin which still requires that RealPlayer be installed on your pc. (But I will be pleased if someone can confirm otherwise.)
