RAID Drive Recovery

Just changed mobo and CPU. The old board was running XP with SATA RAID config as JBOD. XP was on smaller drive 80Gb with larger 160Gb as extra space. Problem is, having done a fresh install of XP on the smaller drive I can't access the larger drive altho' it's seen in BIOS and in device manager but not Windows Yes I did install raid driver during install. In device manager the drives are seen as IDE drives but there is no ref. to SATA RAID. I suspect the new XP install has done summat as I'm not able to load RAID utility as it should have done on initial startup. If I was to install XP on the unseen drive temporarily would I be able to do it without losing the info that's on it as it's quite important?

No takers?
Been thinking that it could be the MBR is corrupt due to the mobo change so if no one comes up with a better idea might try and repair it.
