Hi all

I have a socket 939 mobo click here br>Also%20known%20as%20CK804K8MA-KS with an AMD643000(1.8ghz) Processor with windows XP Pro, 1GB RAM, 120GB HDD (SATA) PCI-Express 256mb ATI Card

What i will be doing shortly is buying another 120GB HDD(same make) and want to put them in a raid 0(Striped) configuration.

Question is do i need a controller for it or will my motherboard/windows XP be able to do it?

I have no knowledge whatsoever in doing a RAID config so all advise will be gratefully received

Sorry, I don't know much about your mobo, but it seems to have the new matrix raid as well (cross raid with ide & sata)which I haven't tried yet ( but if ide is on the way out, what's the point?)
I hope you do know that you'll lose all data on the original disk on a raid 0 config.,so please back up everything.
