If using IDE drive
1. Check drive jumpers are set as master (very important)
2. connect R2 to drive
3. connect power cable to drive
4. connect R2 usb to PC
5. switch on power supply (plug into socket)

Windows should find new hardware and install USB to IDE device followed by found new hardware disk drive.

The drive should then be seen in My computer and or in disk management.
