QuickTime problem - can you help?

  DocP 11:07 13 Nov 05

I use a paid-for QuickTime 6.4 Pro for editing .mov files, but recently it refuses to fire up, offering a Windows box saying:

"There is no disk in the drive."
"Please insert a disk into the drive"

This locks up whether I answer Cancel, Try Again or Continue. The only way to get rid of it is with Ctrl-Alt-Del.

I can view .mov files with other programs.

Might this be a Registry problem?
