QuickTime Icon

I have a few QuickTime Movies in a folder but all of the icons are exactly the same, i.e. a large blue Q symbol.

What I'd like to do is to freeze a frame in the movie, copy it and make that into the icon.

Is there any way of doing this?

Dunno if that could be done, but I wonder if that might upset Quicktime, re Copyright??

The easiest way is probably to create a new folder containing shortcuts and launch the movies from there. Icons for shortcuts are easy to change from their Properties.

Thank you for yor suggestion mfletch, but that download just contains a few icons.

I might try Eric10's method, which will probably work, but I don't really want to create loads of shortcuts.
