Quicken problem

I have used Quicken for Windows successfully until very recently when attempts to customize reports cause the programme to crash. The Microsoft error message advises contacting Inuit who, of course, have ceased to support Quicken for many years. Uninstalling and reinstalling it even with all anti-malware and firewalls disabled has no effect. Have others experienced the same problem and could this be caused by some update of Windows XP Home by Microsoft? Also are there any reliable programmes similar to Quicken now that Microsoft have apparently also given up on the Money for the U.K. market?

Which version of Quicken are you using? David

David - The programme disk says version 6.

I don't know what version 6 means, I use Q2000 on XP. Run Quicken, click on Help and then About Quicken and see what version is displayed.
